Some CCC Classes Canceled For One Week; Students Urged To Read Emails and Course Announcements

March 15, 2020

From: CCC President Dr. Matt Gotschall

CCC Employees and Students,

Following discussions this afternoon with area public health departments, state officials and regional school partners, we have decided to cancel all face-to-face, lab, clinical and IP classes at all CCC locations beginning Monday, March 16, through spring break ending on Sunday, March 29. Online courses will continue as scheduled.

Employees, if available and not in a high-risk category, should still report to work as we prepare for extended delivery of remote courses and essential services. Employees who are facing child care issues due to local school closings should communicate with your supervisors. Further guidance on leaves will be forthcoming.

Residence halls and food service will remain open for students during this time period as needed. For students who choose to remain in the residence halls during this time, CCC will continue to provide support.

Thank you for your continued vigilance and actions to practice safe health practices as we continue to implement ways to contain the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to monitor CCC emails during this time for future updates.

Matt
