Stoltz to Lead Women's Basketball
July 27, 2022
Central Community College athletics is pleased to announce the appointment of Kasi Stoltz as head coach of the women’s basketball team. She replaces Billy Perkins, who led the program since 2017.
Stoltz comes CCC-Columbus from Midland University, where she served as an assistant coach for the Warriors women’s basketball squad. Stoltz is also on the coaching roster for Nebraska Attack Basketball, an Omaha-based Amateur Athletic Union program that specifically focuses on the development of girls basketball, grades three through 11.
“I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead the Raiders women’s basketball program, which has successfully grown over the years,” said Stoltz. “I look to continue to reach new heights with this program as well as develop the current talent on the roster and adding talented players to help us reach our goals.”
A native of Elgin, Stoltz served as an assistant coach at Lincoln Lutheran High School from 2013 to 2016. She also served as a youth sports supervisor at the Lincoln YMCA at the same time.
Stoltz is a graduate of Concordia University in Seward, where she majored in sports management and sports coaching and minored in business. While at Midland, she earned a master of science in adult and organizational learning.
“We are pleased to welcome Coach Stoltz as our new women’s basketball coach at Central Community College,” said Mary Young, CCC director of athletics. “Kasi will bring great energy and her experiences at Midland University will be valuable in continuing to develop and build our program.”
Stoltz will begin her tenure at CCC on Aug. 8.
