Early College

Central Community College has partnered with area high schools to offer students the opportunity to earn college credit or dual credit while still in high school. Regardless of your location or schedule, you can access numerous college courses as an early college student.

Students can select from a variety of college courses that may lead to a college certificate, diploma, degree, or transfer to another institution. CCC currently offers 16 Career Pathways. For a list of programs, visit Career Pathways.

College courses are available in various formats: online, televised, lecture, lab, or a combination. Students can participate in their high school with an approved instructor or at a CCC campus or center location. Discounted tuition is available for all Nebraska high school and homeschool students. For more details, visit early college costs.

Before registering, students may need to complete an assessment, as some courses require specific test scores. High school students interested in taking advantage of early college opportunities will also need to create an account. For more information and assistance, contact your school counselor or a CCC representative.

Many early college courses taken at Central Community College can be applied towards programs at CCC or transferred to other two- or four-year colleges and universities. For additional information, see our transfer page.

  • Enhance your personal or high school achievements.
  • Take classes in your own community.
  • Be better-prepared to transition from high school to college or a career.
