Questions about Raider Ready?
Raider Ready is a course material delivery program that ensures that ALL students across ALL courses have access to learning materials on or before the first day of class, which allows them to use course content from day one and supports their academic success.
Through this program, physical books will be conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, and digital materials will be delivered directly within Canvas. Costs will be included in the student’s account. At the end of the term, students will receive email reminders to return their physical course materials to the bookstore.
With Raider Ready, all required course materials are provided for a fee of $22 per credit hour applied to your student account.
NOTE: By default, each new semester ALL registered students are opted-IN to the program. You must confirm your physical materials by choosing your preference between on campus pickup and delivery.
Raider Ready provides all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes, and digital textbook versions to eligible students at a fee of $22 per credit per semester (ie. $22 X 15 credits = $330).
Textbooks are issued on a rental basis and must either be returned or purchased outright at the end of the term. E-book subscriptions will automatically expire. No return is needed.
The charge does NOT cover “recommended” texts or consumable class supplies (goggles, kits, etc.).
*If you select to have the physical book shipped, there is a $8.95 flat rate shipping fee.
Thirty (30) days before the start of each semester, you will receive a personalized email from Barnes & Noble College inviting you to view your course material requirements in the Raider Ready portal.
- If any particular course has no materials required, that course will not be listed.
- If a particular course material summary is listed as “pending,” you will receive an update email once a text has been adopted by the professor.
- If no texts are required in any of your courses, you will not receive an email, and you should opt out.
With this information, you can compare pricing on the open market and a la carte through the CCC bookstore vs. the per credit hour charge to help inform your decision.

When opting out of the Raider Ready program, you will lose access to any digital course material, access codes and will need to purchase the material yourself.
If cost is an issue, it is recommended that before you opt out, contact the bookstore to get the book(s) purchase price because the purchase cost may be more than if you participate in the program.
Opting out is for the term (not per course or per session). If you opt out and add class(es) later, you will need to purchase those book(s) as well.
The opt-out period for each semester is open 30 days prior to the first day of class and ends on the 10th day of class. Access to digital materials within Canvas will be removed for students who opt-out and end on the last day of free add/drop.
