CCC Partners with NWU on Pathways Scholarship Program
July 26, 2018
Central Community College has become Nebraska Wesleyan University’s newest partner in the Pathways Scholarship Program.
On Thursday, July 26, Nebraska Wesleyan University President Dr. Fred Ohles (right) and Central Community College President Dr. Matt Gotschall (left) signed the formal agreement.
The Pathways Scholarship Program provides two pathways to degree completion at Nebraska Wesleyan with financial benefits including a $15,000 scholarship to every admitted CCC student to NWU’s traditional undergraduate program. Those enrolling in the accelerated degree-completion program for adults will receive a $25 per credit hour scholarship and a low tuition rate to attend classes at NWU’s Lincoln and Omaha locations.
Since 2013, 234 CCC students have transferred to Nebraska Wesleyan.
“Maximizing student success is a priority for both Nebraska Wesleyan and Central Community College,” said Ohles. “We’re delighted to partner with Central Community College and help students reach their highest potential.”
Students transferring directly from CCC and who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours at CCC are eligible for consideration of admission and the Pathways Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters at NWU.
“We are very pleased that NWU is offering this opportunity to our CCC students regardless of the CCC campus or learning center site they attend as it will allow many students, both traditional age and adults, to complete a high quality degree with less potential debt,” said Gotschall.
