Associate Degree – Human Services
Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF) Case Manager at Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership

Brittney ReederBeing a student at CCC gave me opportunities that I would never have had. CCC has taught me to see people where they are in their journey. As a case manager, I can illustrate empathy and compassion just as my instructors and other staff members showed me while I was a student. I am not only prepared professionally, but I grew as a person.

Nick Freeland, student activities director and academic advisor, was one of my biggest influences while I was a student. Through his generosity in his position, I was able to provide my kids with Christmas gifts. He is an influence that I want to model for my clients I have at CNCAP. I want to help my clients grow personally just as he did for me while I was a student.

Being in the human services program at CCC prepared me for my role as a case manager by helping me build connections in my community, connections I can give to my clients. CCC is and always will be community centered. When you are a student, you are not just a number, you’re a person to your instructors. Your instructors and staff members get to know you on a personal level, and they truly care about your success as a student and your future. The instructors and faculty make the steps possible when things seem impossible.
