Metallica Scholars Initiative

Want to Be a Metallica Scholar?
Back in the summer of 2021, Central Community College’s Criminal Justice (CJ) Program teamed up with one of the biggest names in rock and roll—Metallica—and joined the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI).

We applied for and received the MSI Grant, which is funded by All Within My Hands(Metallica’s foundation) and supported by the American Association of Community Colleges. This grant helps us support students like you—with scholarships and program resources focused on career and technical education.

So far, over 175 CJ students have received scholarships through this program, and many more have benefited from added tools and support to help them succeed.

We're now in our fifth year as proud Metallica Scholars. Central Community College is one of only 75 community colleges in the U.S. to be part of this initiative—which now spans all 50 states and Guam.
