These workshops are for high school teachers interested in learning about Mechatronics and gaining tools to integrate STEM into their curriculum and for high school counselors and administrators who want to promote CTE in their schools to foster student and community success.

Mechatronics with Instrumentation & Controls Learning about STEM Careers - for High School Counselors and Administrators (Kearney) - June 11 (CLOSED)

WORKSHOP IS CLOSED

Date: June 11
Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (lunch provided)

This workshop will give high school counselors and administrators an understanding of the different pathways in Mechatronics, with a focus on Instrumentation and Controls. Participants will get hands on experience and take part in collaborative discussions on important topics related to Career Technical Education.

YOU WILL:

  • Learn about a high demand career in the Mechatronics field
  • Get hands on experience in our labs
  • Interact with a panel of industry leaders and current Mechatronics students

DISCUSSION TOPICS:

  • Getting parents and students on-board with CTE
  • Debunking the manufacturing myth
  • Effective strategies to assist students with career exploration
  • The range of options available in Mechatronics
