This class will meet Mondays, Aug. 17 through Dec. 7, as well as Saturdays, Sept. 12, Oct. 17 and Nov. 21.
Orientation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 11.
The class will be taught in the hybrid ”flipped classroom” style. Students must complete the online coursework prior to each class meeting. The classroom portion will meet for hands-on skills.
EMT Bridge and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care for Nurses are taught in conjunction with the EMT class.
Upon completion of the class, students must take and pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written and practical exam and complete a State of Nebraska application to be licensed in Nebraska.
A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card or equivalent is required before the start of class. CPR classes at CCC-Grand Island will be held from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on June 9, Aug. 6 and Aug. 18.
