This three-day training seminar focuses on motor control and relay logic. The workshop is a combination of presentation and hands-on training taught from a troubleshooting perspective. Fifty percent of the class time is devoted to a hands-on experience with the custom trainer consoles to achieve optimum retention and development of practical application skills.
The training will include:
- Review of electrical fundamentals.
- Single and three phase AC power systems.
- Electrical safety considerations.
- Characteristics of three phase motors.
- Motor starters: theory and operation, sizing, overload selection/setting, full voltage and reversing.
- 2 & 3 wire control: Start, stop, jog, overload indications, etc.
- Theory and use of relays, timers and other control devices.
- Industrial symbology and line logic design.
- Use of line and schematic drawings in troubleshooting.
- Plenty of hands-on wiring and troubleshooting of control circuits.
The registration fee includes interactive instruction, printed materials, certificates of completion and breaks. Seating is limited so early registration is encouraged.
