Driving a forklift can be a dangerous job. Each year, tens of thousands of injuries related to powered industrial trucks, or forklifts, occur in U.S. workplaces. These accidents can be avoided. Operating a lift truck is an important job, so important that OSHA requires “only trained and authorized operators shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck.”
This training includes lecture, hands-on driving experience, printed materials and breaks. Attendees must be at least 18 years old and hanve a valid driver's license. They will perform a driving test using a provided forklift. This workshop will be taught in English; translators are welcome.
Preregistration and prepayment is a requirement. A 36-hour notice is required for a refund.
This one-day program will comply with the OSHA requirements for 29 CFR 1910.178- Powered Industrial Trucks.
