How to Transfer from Central
In order to transfer, you must:

1.    Attend the Transfer Fair- Central Community College hosts an annual transfer fair at each campus location (Grand Island, Columbus, and Hastings). At the transfer fair you will be able to speak with admissions representatives from 4 year institutions from across the area about admissions requirements, scholarship opportunities, and more!

2.    Apply for Admission
Apply for Admissions to the University/College that you are planning to transfer to. Often, institutions will have a student portal for you to log into your account for next steps for enrollment. Monitor your email for additional admissions information.

3.    Check for Scholarships
Apply for Scholarships (Check the University/College website for Transfer Scholarship opportunities)

4.    Apply for Financial Aid
Apply for Financial Aid (Make sure that you send your FAFSA information to all schools that you are considering transferring to)

5.    Send Your Transcripts
Request for your transcript (https://www.cccneb.edu/transcript-request) to be sent from Central Community College. (They may need a current transcript and then a transcript at the end of your last semester.) Also, send your transcripts from any other colleges that you have attended.

6.    Consider Housing Arrangements
Apply for housing or look for an apartment if you will be moving away when you transfer. (Many universities have limited housing options and you must apply early, so that you can get a spot in the preferred dorms).

7.    Be on the lookout for New Student Enrollment dates
Register for a new student enrollment/orientation. This will give you the opportunity to meet with an advisor, review transferred in coursework, and select your classes.
