Welding Technology

Welding is a skill used in many trades. Welders with solid technical skills are in demand in a wide variety of businesses and industries. As a welder, you may work for manufacturers; contractors; federal, state, county and city governments; firms requiring maintenance mechanics; and repair shops. Welders with a two-year associate of applied science degree will find work most easily, but specialized training in specific welding skills through shorter diploma and certificate programs also prepares people for entry-level jobs. Our Welding Technology program offers a wide range of skills including oxyacetylene, gas metal arc, shield metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding as well brazing, cutting, blueprint reading and welding codes and standards. Training in welding robotics and welder qualification-certification also are available. |

Finish in 2 years by completing 15-17 credits a semester for 4 semesters
The length of time to complete a program is based on a student taking only the courses required for the program as listed in our online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses that may be required based on assessment scores, retaking courses or taking courses that are not required by your program of study.
