Truck Driving
Virtually everything we use – from canned goods to cars – is transported by truck at some point. Demand for truck drivers remains high. You can complete the Central Community College truck driving program in six weeks and be ready to start a new career. Our program uses U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines for training and licensing truck drivers. Program graduates:
This program offers semi tractor-trailer driving experience on the campus driving range as well as over-the-road driving under the supervision of a licensed professional driver. It includes 240 hours of combined instruction and driving time with a minimum of 50 of these hours being hands-on driving time on the school range, city streets, highways and interstate. These 50 hours of hands-on driving give you a minimum of 500 miles behind the wheel plus 1,300 miles behind the windshield observing. The truck driving program is based on the Federal Highway Administration Model Curriculum, Professional Truck Driver Institute of America Standards, and Federal Commercial Driver Licensing Standards. |

Completing the 12 credits required for the Truck Driving certificate costs*:
Nebraska residents - $3,350
Non-residents - $3,925
Room and Board - $1,250
*To enroll into class, a $100 deposit must be attached to your application.
These costs are for tuition and fees only for the program of study as listed in the CCC online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses, retaking courses or taking courses in addition to those required for the degree. It does not include the cost of books, supplies, tools, computers or other items that may be required.
The standard Truck Driving certificate course lasts six weeks.
