The Medical Laboratory Technician program combines classroom learning with hands-on lab experience to prepare you for a career in diagnostic testing. You will learn how to analyze blood, fluids and other samples to detect and monitor disease.
Training includes work in areas such as microbiology, chemistry, hematology, and immunology. Graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

This certificate prepares you for entry-level positions in hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) AAS degree prepares you for careers in clinical, research, and public health laboratories. You will learn how to collect and analyze patient specimens and perform diagnostic tests used to detect and monitor disease. This program prepares you to support physicians by providing accurate lab results that guide patient care.
