American Heart Association CPR & First Aid

Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor

This 16-hour class is designed for professional rescuers who want to teach Basic Life Support CPR. People who successfully complete the course will be able to teach Health Care Provider (HCP), Heartsaver CPR/AED, and First Aid classes for the American Heart Association. Core instructor course is done prior to the class online or by CD. Eight hours will be classroom instruction and eight hours for the Core instructor course.

BLS for Health Care Providers

This five- hour class is for health care providers such as EMS personnel, doctors, dentists, physician assistants, nurses and respiratory therapists. The course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask, foreign body airway obstruction, and AED. Written and skills exams are required.

BLS for Health Care Providers - Renewal

This three-hour course provides a sssion for structured update, review and practice based upon current changes. Written and skills exams are required.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

This three-hour course is for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. The class teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants, relief of choking and use of barrier devices for all ages and proper use of AED. A skills exam is required for completion care to be issued.

Heartsaver First Aid with Environmental

This three-hour class is for individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. The class teaches rescuers the knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to recognize emergencies and give first aid. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies and Environmental Emergencies.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED

This seven-hour Heartsaver class is approved for Child Care Provider requirement. This course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes minutes until professional help arrives as well as General Principles, Medical, Injury and Environmental Emergencies, CPR and AED.

Family & Friends CPR

This ninety minute class is for family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but don't need a course completion card. The class teaches them how to perform CPR in adults, children or infants and how to help an adult, child or infant who is choking.

Cards issued upon completion of all classes are current for two years.

Skills Test (Online)

Complete the course online, then take the skills test with a qualified instructor to complete your certification and obtain your CPR card.
