Whether you are a novice or an avid coin collector, you may find an interest in this workshop presented by Tom Bassett of Lincoln. Tom has more than 30 years of experience in appraising antique and coins. In this workshop, he will discuss the challenges of buying, selling and evaluating coins and currency. He will also discuss the common mistakes people make when buying and selling coins and currency. Tom's presentations are packed with firsthand experiences, extensive knowledge and a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Please bring along three coins for appraisal, if you wish. Preregistration is required for this class.

Tom is past president of the Lincoln Coin Club and a 35-year member of the New England Appraisers Association. In 2002, Gov. Mike Johanns appointed Tom to the Nebraska Quarter Design Committee. In 1983, he conducted what is likely the largest antique appraisal in Nebraska at Pioneer Village in Minden.
