The Gospel of Mark is considered by many scholars to be the first gospel written and the earliest record we have of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Mark is an invaluable resource in understanding the life and ministry of the central figure of Christianity. This class will seek to provide an overview of the gospel, exploring the historical and theological context in which it was written and the major themes that it masterfully communicates.
The class will meet Thursdays, April 6 through May 4. It is optional to bring your Bible to class.
