Instructor Lynn Burns will take us on a tour of simple, effective home remedies for healing. This will cover topics such as gathering herbs, methods for drying and when to use fresh or dried herbs. Also, helpful equipment, usage, labeling, storage recommendations, safety considerations and dosage will be covered. Types of herbal remedies examined will be medicinal teas, infusions and decoctions, as well as the use of vinegar, honey and oil as solvents. Infusions to be covered will be for immunity boost, soothing pain, relief for ailments and digestion. Items to bring: one pint washed canning jar with ring and lid, one pint apple cider vinegar with the mother, one cup packed fresh herbs and 12 ounces raw organic strained honey. Also, please bring a list of your medications and allergies.
