The class will meet Mondays through Fridays, Sept. 21 through Oct. 6. It is a basic nursing and skills course for the nurse assistant in a health care setting and meets federal and state requirements for nurse aid training and competency evaluation programs.
Classes are taught by qualified, approved instructors and utilize the HCA curriculum accepted by the Nebraska Department of Health. Upon completion of the 76 hours, Central Community College will administer both the written and skills testing required to meet the OBRA guidelines. The required state tests will be administered as part of the class. Tests will be arranged during the scheduled test dates following class.
Students must be 16 or older to participate in class. It is recommended that students contact local facilities to verify hiring age requirements.
