This basic nursing knowledge and skills course for the nurse assistant in a health care setting will meet Mondays through Thursdays, Jan. 13 through Feb. 5. It meets federal and state requirements for nurse aide training and competency evaluation programs.
Classes are taught by qualified, approved instructors who use the HCA curriculum accepted by the Nebraska Department of Health. Upon completion of the 76 hours, CCC will administer both the written and skills testing required to meet the OBRA guidelines. The required state tests will be administered as part of the class.
Dates for the required state tests will be April 16 and April 17.
Students must be 16 or older to participate in class. It is recommended that students contact local facilities to verify hiring age requirements.
