The class will provide beginning riders with classroom and riding instruction taught by professional coaches.
The college will provide motorcycles; helmets, if needed; manual for study and coupon for the online eCourse, which is a prerequisite for the basic rider course.
Students must have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit and wear long-sleeved garments, long pants, shoes or boots with low heels that cover the ankles, gloves and eye protection. They must be physically and mentally capable of controlling a motorcycle and already be able to balance a two-wheel vehicle such as a bicycle. A parental waiver must be provided for riders between 15 and 18 years of age.
Benefits of taking the class include a waiver of the written and riding test when applying for motorcycle endorsement, possible insurance rate reductions and Improved riding skills.
