This class will meet Mondays through Thursdays, Feb. 24 through March 6. It will provide an introduction to pharmacology, including basic knowledge and skills to safely administer medications. It will prepare the student to acquire the medication administration competencies required to work in a long-term care or other health care facility and pass the examination Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Classes are taught by qualified, approved instructors and utilize the Nebraska Health Care Association curriculum accepted by the Nebraska Department of Health.
An approved agency will schedule and administer the required state test after the completion of class. Information about testing will be provided the first day of class.
Students must be 18 to be placed on the Nebraska State Registry as a medication aide.
