Are you looking for ways to extend your garden season as we approach the fall and winter temperatures? If so, there are a number of options to consider, cold frames, row covers and low tunnels. John Porter, Nebraska Extension educator, will explain the mechanics of each, various materials needed to build the structures, types of crops that will survive and thrive and answer other questions you may have.

John Porter is the Urban Ag Program coordinator for Nebraska Extension and Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, serving both as an extension educator and professor of urban agriculture. He specializes in urban agriculture and horticulture, especially in the areas of vegetable and fruit production for home gardens and urban farms and edible landscaping.

Must have 20 students sign up for the class to be held.
