Celebrate Spring Gardening

This "Splendid Event for the Inquisitive Gardener," will begin with registration and an open marketplace from 4 to 5 p.m.

Individuals will then get to attend three different sessions over the course of the evening with a break from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. for a light meal.

Garden Session I (choose one), 5-5:45 p.m.

  • Hardy Perennials for Our Zone, presented by Elizabeth Exstrom, UNL Extension Educator - Horticulture
  • Creative Ways to Use Squash (Breads, Casseroles, Cakes, Soups), presented by Marilyn Schmit, Master Gardener
  • Adding “Thriller” Plants to Container Gardens, presented by Chris Geyer, Assistant Manager, Earl May
  • Lush Container Gardening, presented by Wild Roots Greenhouse and Market
  • Fun, Recycled Garden Markers Make-n-Take (Limit of 20), presented by Susan Schoenhofer, CCC

Garden Session II (choose one), 6:15-7 p.m.

  • Colorful Plants for Shade Gardens, presented by Elizabeth Exstrom, UNL Extension Educator - Horticulture
  • Landscape Plants for Butterfly Gardens, presented by Kelly Feehan, UNL Extension Educator – Horticulture
  • Vegetable Container Gardening, presented by Samantha Aydt, Master Gardener
  • Hidden Gems to Plant in 2021, presented by Jenni Harrington, Harmony Nursery
  • Adding “Thriller” Plants to Container Gardens, presented by Chris Geyer, Assistant Manager, Earl May
