Online Successful Beekeeping

  • Class Type: Home and Garden
  • Location: Kearney, Online
  • Start Date: February 22, 2023
  • Time: 6-9 p.m.

Beekeeping is no easy task nor is making it to class, but it is a need for the bee population. The instructor will start the class online going over information on honeybees. The class will cover the importance of beekeeping and how to understand the honeybee's life cycle, as well as the skills it takes to have a successful first year of beekeeping. The goal of this class is to make it so that you have all the tools you need to be a beekeeper.

The class will meet Wednesdays, Feb. 22 through July 26.

At the end of class, there are two Saturday field trips, one to Matt's  honeybees. The location is down the road from CCC and you will need your own transportation to this location. The second one is a hands-on field day at CCC.
