It will be taught by certified Nebraska Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) instructors, who will cover objectives designed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and hands-on skills. Upon completion of the class, students must take and pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written and practical exam and complete a State of Nebraska application to be licensed in Nebraska.
The fee includes insurance, uniform shirt, digital text and assessment package. Payment is due at the time of registration. Early registration is encouraged because classes fill quickly; registrations will be honored in the order they are received.
Individuals must have a current BLS Health Care Provider CPR card or its equivalent before they can take the class. CCC-Hastings will offer a CPR class from 6 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 3. The cost is $68.
