This class will meet in person from 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 30 and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 and via WebEx from 1 to 3 p.m. on Nov. 8, 15 and 22 and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 4.
Topics in this 40-hour hybrid course are combined to prepare you for the responsibilities of an EMS educator. This course incorporates methods commonly used in EMS education today including online, virtual, in-person classes, independent learning, and group learning to name a few. You will complete projects, watch videos, read, participate in discussions, and practice teaching skills with the rest of the class. By the end of the course you will have completed a lesson plan, designed a simulation, created an EMS skills presentation, built evaluation tools, and developed a short EMS cognitive presentation.
