In this two-night class, we will learn the basics of wine terminology, the different components in wine, how it’s made and aged and how that affects the taste of the wine. We will also learn about wine regions and why certain grapes grow in one region and not another. We will then move into blended wines and finally we finish the seminar on learning to identify a specific wine based on sight, smell and taste without seeing the label. In these seminars, you will taste a lot of wines and learn a new kind of vocabulary. The end goal is for you to be more confident in selecting and ordering wines for home or at a restaurant. You must be 21+ to take this class.
The class will meet Feb. 4 and Feb. 5.
