This beginning canning class will cover the basics, benefits and safety of canning your own fruits and vegetables. Students will learn hands-on how to can tomatoes and applesauce and receive tips and techniques for other items such as pickles, meats and vegetables. A future class will cover freezing techniques. Class minimum, 4; maximum, 12.
