WordPress for Beginners: Building and Securing Your Website

This four-week introductory course is designed to give participants a strong foundation in using WordPress to create and manage their own websites or blogs. Participants will learn the essentials of domains, web hosting and installing WordPress. org, setting them up to effectively use this powerful content management system (CMS). The course will cover everything from choosing themes and plugins to customizing pages and posts with text, media and videos. By the end of the course, students will have created a fully functional website and developed a solid understanding of how to manage their site’s content and appearance. The class will meet Wednesdays, Feb. 12 through March 5.
