In this class, Ellis Collins will take you through in-depth learning with your camera and help you lessen your fear of using its settings. You will gain greater understanding of and confidence with your camera. Whether you own a DSLR or point-and-shoot camera, you’ll learn about shooting manually, what the buttons and menus do, which features need to be turned on or off, and the basics of digital photography. Discover how to achieve correct exposure more consistently; understand color space, ISO, white balance; and when and how to use scenic and program modes. Bring your camera, manual, all your lenses, spare batteries and empty memory cards. We will go outside to practice photography so please dress accordingly. The class will meet Wednesdays, Sept. 9-30.
