Each year, tens of thousands of injuries related to powered industrial trucks (PIT), or forklifts, occur in U.S. workplaces. These accidents can be avoided! Operating a lift truck is an important job, so important that OSHA requires "only trained and authorized operations shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck." This program will comply with the OSHA requirements for 29 CFR 1910.178-Powered Industrial Trucks.
Training will include lecture as well as hands-on driving experience. Individuals attending this workshop will perform a driving test using a provided forklift.
Attendees must be 18 years of age. This workshop will be taught in English. Must have a valid driver's license.

- Handling and Transporting Hazardous Materials
- General Awareness of Various Federal Regulations
The registration deadline is Sept. 1; however, class size is limited so early registration is encouraged to ensure a seat for the training.
