Basic Quilting

This basic introductory class will help you understand quilting. You will learn how to use a rotary cutter, piece your quilt block, press seams and assemble your quilt blocks.

Supplies: 45mm rotary cutter; three fat quarters — one background fabric, one colorful medium tone and one dark tone-on-tone; neutral all-purpose thread; 18-by-24-inch cutting mat; 6-by-24-inch quilter's ruler; straight pins and cushion; seam ripper; fabric shears; pencil with sharp point; painter's tape; index card with ruled lines; sewing machine and working knowledge of how to run it.
