Learn the tricks of the automotive upholstery trade! Designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike, students will learn to reupholster car seats working with a range of fabrics and materials. This course covers basic sewing, cutting and pattern-making techniques and the use of specialized tools and equipment (depending on vintage/year of the seat).
Students should bring their project the first day of class. Required items: scissors, needle nose pliers, fabric and cushions. Optional: side cutter pliers, screwdrivers, metric/standard sockets and wrenches and hog ring pliers (Steven will have extras if you do not bring these). Students may need to purchase additional tools if their project is more difficult, and Steven will discuss this in the first class.
The class will meet Saturdays, April 10 through May 10.
