Fiber Frolic

  • Location: Lexington
  • Start Date: April 17, 2021
  • Time: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Whether you knit, weave, spin, crochet or just want to pet the alpaca, you won’t want to miss this excursion! We’ll depart from Lexington Center by 8:30 a.m. in provided transportation for Butterfield Alpaca Ranch, which is nestled in the rolling hills near Harlan County Reservoir. Students will be educated about the Hucaya and Suri alpaca breeds they raise onsite and shop Tashia's beautiful offerings from the mobile store.

We will arrive at Phillipsburg and enjoy lunch (not included in price) and then make our way up the street for the tour of The Shepherd’s Mill which creates exquisite yarns and fabrics from the nation’s finest natural fibers. They custom-process fiber from 42 states, are creating their own signature line of woven items and yarns and teach classes in almost all fiber arts.

Grab a friend and enjoy food, friendship and some shopping, too. Limited space available.
