Beginning Woodcarving

  • Class Type: Arts and Crafts
  • Location: Grand Island
  • Start Date: February 10, 2021

Woodcarving is a relaxing hobby that allows you to tap into your creative side. Join us and learn sharpening skills, painting techniques and safety measures as you complete a basic project. Initially, the instructor will provide woodcarving knifes, tools and safety gloves, but students will be expected to order their own. If you have woodcarving tools, bring them along. A nominal fee will be paid to the instructor for carving wood. The class will meet Wednesdays, Feb. 10 through March 10, and is intended to introduce you to using the knives and tools and to give you the confidence to delve further into the art of woodcarving.
