Bring a favorite piece of furniture back to life by reupholstering it. Join Steve to learn how to reupholster a simple chair or ottoman. You will build a wide range of techniques you can use to reupholster numerous projects. Discover which types of fabric best fi t your needs, the proper tools and how to take off the old fabric for a fresh start. Conquer corners and curves to make a smooth surface, add tack strips for clean edges and add stylish accents like buttons and nail head trim. Students should bring their project the first day of class. Students will need scissors and needle-nose pliers. Students may need to purchase additional tools if their project is more difficult. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own fabric, cushion and batting. Steve will discuss the necessary supplies the first day of class. The class will meet Saturdays, Oct. 3-24.
