Knitting has been linked to reduced stress and anxiety and improved cognitive functions. Not only can you reduce stress, but you can make something beautiful and useful. You will learn the basic cast on as well as knitting and purling techniques. You will make a dishcloth and see other project patterns you can achieve. Bring a skein of medium worsted-weight yarn and size 9 straight knitting needles to make a dishcloth or other easy project if you are a repeat student. The class will meet Thursdays, Jan. 28 through Feb. 18.
