Early College
Central Community College and area high schools have partnered together to provide students with the option of earning college credit or dual credit while in high school. Regardless of your location or schedule, you can access numerous college courses as an early college student.
College courses are offered in a variety of formats: online, televised, lecture, lab, or a combination. Students may participate at the high school with an approved instructor or at CCC campuses or centers.
Prior to registration, students may need to complete an assessment, as some courses require specific test scores. High school students wanting to take advantage of early college will also need to create an account. For information and assistance contact your school counselor or CCC representative.
Many early college courses taken at Central Community College can be applied towards programs at CCC or transferred to other two-and-four year colleges and universities. For more information, see our transfer page.
Advantages to earning CCC credit while in high school
- Get an early start on your college education.
- Explore career options.
- Enhance your personal or high school achievements.
- Take classes in your own community.
- Be better-prepared to transition from high school to college or a career.
- Credit can apply directly towards a degree at CCC or may transfer to another college or university.
