Diesel Technology

Our Diesel Technology program will provide you with the training needed to begin a high-paying career as a diesel technician. You’ll develop professional skills through hands-on work on all systems of diesel construction equipment, farm tractors and trucks, including air conditioning, computerized fuel systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics and power trains.

Industry partners of our Diesel Technology program offer student assistance through scholarships and sponsorships. Most of these sponsorships provide tuition, fees, books and hand tools as well as summer internships. NMC CAT (Nebraska Machinery Company)

Looking for a profitable career opportunity but don’t know where to start? NMC in partnership with the Diesel Technology Program at Central Community College-Hastings offers a two-year sponsorship. It includes two paid summer internships, paid tuition, books, fees and NMC-branded uniforms, toolbox and tools, personalized mentoring during the summers as well as the school year, and employment and career progression opportunities with NMC.

Titan Machinery

Titan Machinery Inc. owns and operates a network of full service agricultural and construction equipment dealerships in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. All locations represent one or more of the CNH Industrial brands, including Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, Case Construction and New Holland Construction.

Titan Machinery provides selected sponsored students a FULL academic ride which includes tuition, fees, supplies and tools/box valuing more than $20,000. Students also receive employment prior to, during and after program completion while earning a highly competitive wage.

Nebraska Trucking Association

The Nebraska Trucking Association  provides two $500 scholarships each year for CCC diesel students.

Nebraska Truck Center

Nebraska Truck Center, a Freightliner and Western Star dealership was founded in 1969. The company has service locations in Grand Island and North Platte and a body shop in Hastings. Every year, Nebraska Truck Center sponsors diesel technology students by providing tuition, books and tools as well as paid summer internships. Sponsored students are obligated to work at a Nebraska Truck Center service location for two years following graduation. Apply Online

Diesel Career Day

This event allows prospective students to tour the Hastings Campus, meet the instructors of the Diesel, Heavy Equipment and Truck Driving programs, and have the opportunity to meet with employers in these fields from across the state. This is a great opportunity to learn about different sponsorships and scholarships that are available, as well as the potential for job opportunities after graduation.
