Welding Technology

Available at the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses
  • Welding

Welders with solid technical skills are in demand in a wide variety of businesses and industries. The U.S. Department of Labor lists more than 140 occupations in welding or which use welding.

Welders with a two-year associate of applied science degree will find work most easily, but specialized training in specific welding skills through shorter diploma and certificate programs also prepares people for entry-level jobs. CCC offers a Welding Technology program at its Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses.

Courses are offered in a wide range of skills including oxyacetylene, gas metal arc, shield metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding, as well brazing, cutting, blueprint reading and welding codes and standards. Training in welding robotics and welder qualification-certification also are available.
