Placement Opportunities

Utilizing a unique distance education system, Metropolitan Community College, in cooperation with Central Community College, provides graduates the opportunity to enter the occupation of respiratory care technology. This program allows the student to maintain residency in their hometown area, with the exception of one academic quarter (approximately eleven weeks). Students pursuing an education in Respiratory Care Technology by distance education will complete the program's general education courses and support level courses at a Central Community College campus. Students will graduate from Metropolitan Community College. Upon completion of this program, students are eligible to take the registry examination in Respiratory Care administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
