Fort Hays State University 
A significant portion of the requirements for an associate in science (A.S.) degree in radiology technology through Fort Hays State University in Kansas can be met at Central Community College. 
Through a cooperative arrangement between Fort Hays State University, Central Community College and St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, the basic sciences and general education component of the degree can be taken at Central Community College, the clinical training portion at St. Francis Medical Center and the radiologic theory and laboratory portion at Fort Hays State University. 
The cooperative program consists of 38 or more credit hours of pre-radiologic study to be completed at Central Community College. Transfer courses include: General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, College Algebra, Microcomputer Applications, Oral Communication, English Composition, Writing and Research, Introduction to Psychology or Sociology, Personal Health and Medical Terminology.  Potential for advancement beyond the A. S. Degree in radiologic technology can include educational training in CT scanning, ultrasound and other specialties through Fort Hays State University. FHSU has further approved for students pursuing their baccalaureate degree program in Medical Diagnostic Imaging: Western Civilization I and II and American History I and II.

College prerequisites for the Radiography/Nuclear Medicine program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) can be completed at Central Community College. Upon completion of 48 credit hours students may apply for admissions to the Bachelor of Science degree in Radiation Sciences Technology at UNMC. 
UNMC recommends students complete the Associate of Science Degree including
the following courses: Expository Writing, Writing and Research, Oral Communications, General Sociology, General Psychology, College Algebra, Applied Statistics, General Biology, Elements of Chemistry, Elements of Physics I and Microcomputer Applications. 
As part of the UNMC Radiography/Nuclear Medicine program students may apply
to continue into other Radiation Sciences including Ultrasound, CT/MRI,
Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology or Radiation Therapy.
