As
an advisor have you asked yourself, "How do I know if this is a Tech Prep
student?"
There
is now one way to find out. If the
Tech Prep office has received a Student Verification Form indicating that this
student participated in Tech Prep at the high school, we have entered them on
our system and TPRE should appear in the right corner on a student screen.
Now you may be asking…then what?
As an advisor, how do I know what classes this student MAY HAVE CREDIT FOR?
Go to the Colleague STAC and type in the student's name. Any Tech Prep credit they may have earned should be listed on their transcript. If the student thinks they have credit that isn't listed please look at the Tech Prep web page for their school to determine if they have taken one or more of the classes articulated with their high school and scored an A or B.
Go to the CCC web page and click on Tech Prep (under Offerings)
The Tech Prep Web page will come up with ALL the Tech Prep schools listed on the left side.
If you click on the school that your student is from, you will get a screen that looks like this. The page will give you the high school classes and what college course they transfer into.
