WHY MAKE DOG BISCUITS?
home

Welcome to Heidi's Homemade Dog Biscuits! Thanks for

stopping by, feel free to explore the site and see what I have

to offer. The picture of the dog below, King, who is my best

friend, is a Black Lab/Great Dane mix, which means he eats

a lot!! One day I was playing around on the web, and decided

to try and find a recipe for dog biscuits. Sure enough, I found

a whole bunch of them. I tried several different kinds. I don't

work due to a disability, so I had plenty of time to try different

kinds, which King loved being my "guinea pig" so to speak!

There was something I didn't like about each one I tried, and

I tried about 10 different ones literally. One took too long to

cook, another you had to let sit for 24 hours to harden, another

called for expensive ingredients, which was defeating a big part

of why I was making them. I began trying making up my own

recipe. I'd use parts from different recipes and try them out.

It took quite a few tries before I got it right. I didn't start out

the the intention of selling them. I had friends' dogs try them

to see what they thought. Had several come back for more and

suggest I should sell them. It was Christmas season at the

time, and being on a fixed income, it seemed like a good idea.

For several years I've made them around Christmas and different

holidays for people. I would get requests at different times

throughout the year. I've had a few stores carry them from

time to time as well. I decided to put them on the web to see

how they'd do. They're made from scratch using ingredients

that you'd find in your own kitchen. The ingredients are listed

on the Items page. I've recently gone back to college to learn

to make web pages, and thought this would be a good way to

try and supplement my income to help with it too. I've only had

2 dogs in the last 5 years or so not like them, so I am willing

to guarantee that your dog will like them, just send the rest back

to me, and I'll do a refund (minus shipping and handling). You'll

notice my prices are pretty low, and I intend to keep them that

way as long as I can afford to, I base my prices solely on the

price of ingredients. Thanks for visiting my page, and please

try out my biscuits, or have your dog try them out! haha. I

actually have people that eat them on a regular basis when

they come over, they feed a couple to the dog, and a couple

to themselves. Granted it's mostly kids, but I do have adults

too that like the taste! Feel free to email me and let me know

what you think!
