| This is a visual design system for a pet and supply store. This company is expanding and getting larger. Therefore, they need an identity that is consistent. This identity will consist of a logo, brand logo, stationary, business card, mailing envelope, a bag, and two brand products. Pet Planet carries the pets that you would not find in your average pet store and the supplies to keep them happy. This is also not your grandparents’ pet store. It is hip and modern. The target demographic would be adults in their 20s. It would be someone who is looking for a pet that is unusual and that none of their friends would own. For an exotic pet the budget of our clients would be slightly larger and they would definitely be the kind of person would like to splurge on items. For the design of this identity system I used bold color that really grabs the viewer’s attention. I also wanted the colors to be lively yet say “planet” and “animal friendly”. Color possibilities were blue, green, brown, and yellow. I used modern shapes and lines as well. For fonts, a sans serif worked best, backed up with a modern roman or serif. I tried to be innovative when designing my products and created them in shapes that are not normally used.

This is an identity system for a pet supply store. The company is called Woofs & Whiskers. This company sells pet supply products for animals of all sizes. Woofs & Whiskers is also a store where families can go to find the perfect pet for them. Because this company is expanding and getting larger it will need an identity system that is consistent. The identity system consists of a logo for the company, a brand name logo, a business card, mailing envelope, a shopping bag, and two brand products. The colors used for this logo and the look of the store are salmon and black. These two colors look sharp and professional. The font is simple and bold and grabs attention. There are added outlines of a dog and cat incorporated in the logo. The brand name carries through with the salmon color, but also adds a couple other colors to add interest. The font for the brand name is the same as the logo of the company. Woofs & Whiskers’ targeted demographic is adults with small children. Adults would like to go to this store to purchase pet supplies while the children enjoy looking at the pets that are for sale. The store is located in the historic section of downtown Loveland, Colorado. The atmosphere of Woofs & Whiskers is warm and welcoming. The pet store is a place where people can interact with the animals while also shopping for pet supplies. |
