Three new albums are Children of Bodoms – Skeletons in the Closet, Slayers- World Painted Blood and Dethkloks- Dethalbum 2. Children of Bodom- Skeletons in the Closet is Children of Bodoms newest CD. Though it doesn’t feature any songs they wrote themselves. It is an entire CD of Cover songs. Spanning different groups such as: Slayer, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol and much more. It is an ok CD as a whole but to do all cover songs seems kind of disappointing. Slayer- World Painted Blood lives up to the heavy metal image that is Slayer. The band has been going strong now for over twenty years and has a number of albums to prove it. But this is their newest. The CD contains everything a Slayer album should have: sweet guitar solos, heavy drumming and blasting vocals. It is a must buy for all heavy metal lovers. Dethklok- Dethalbum 2 is the latest album of the death metal group Dethklok. The album features songs from some of the episodes of the show metalocolipse and some brand new ones. The Dethalbum is as heavy as the first and with just as funny song titles like Bloodlines, The Gears, The Cyborg Slayers and many more it is a great album for any Dethklok fan.

Radio Moscow is definitely a band to be on the lookout for. The line up consists of three guys from Iowa: Vocalist and guitarist, Parker Griggs, drummer, Corey Berry and bass, Zach Anderson. Their sound is a combination of the Black Keys, Jimmy Page, and sixties’ psychedelic rock. I like to call it Psychedelic Blues. One of the strongest points of this band is the killer solos. The lead guitarist, Parker Griggs, can “wail” on his guitar better than most in recent memory. He completely blows me away. The style of the guitar is influenced with a garage blues edge. The elongated notes and rhythm gives it the psychedelic vibe that defines the band from the rest of the pack. In my opinion the weak points of the band would be the drumming and the vocals. The cymbal are a little excessive. The vocals are good, don’t get me wrong. Griggs has an underground and untraditional voice. It’s a raspy, rough voice that I don’t see breaking out as memorable. I believe this band is on its way. They still need to work out a few kinks and develop a more polished sound. But, in time they have to the potential to become a force to be reckoned with in the rock world. They have a classic rock throw back style that the people are starving for. Radio Moscow newest album Brain Cycles is in stores now.

Green Day vs. Wal-Mart You won’t be able to find the “21st Century Breakdown” album by Green Day at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart asked Green Day if they would make a censored CD that they could offer. Front man Billie Joe Armstrong said no. Wal-Mart said that it’s the company’s policy not to stock any CD with a parental advisory sticker. Mike Dirnt’s (bassist) argument: “As the biggest record store in America, they should probably have an obligation to sell people the correct art.” I would have to agree with him there.

Creeds new Album So recently I was scanning the web and I noticed that Creed has a new album coming out. That’s right Creed is back together and with the same line up from the first CD “My own prison” , the line up consists all original members with Scott Stapp on lead vocals Mark Tremonti on guitar Scott Phillips on drums and Brian Rogers on bass guitar. According to rollingstone.com singer Scott Stapp “I wouldn’t call it a reunion, it’s a renewing and a rebirth. I missed my boys and wanted to create music with them again. We’re all thrilled to have a second chance to make a first impression.” The new album is called “Full Circle” and the album will be out October 27th. I excited to see Creed back together and can’t wait to see what will be in the future for them.
