The Academic Transfer programs is provided for students who want to complete their first two years of college with Central Community College before transferring to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree. Anthropology is the study of human beings and their societies from their beginnings millions of years ago to the present day. It seeks to understand the geographic space and evolutionary time of human existence. Anthropology may be of interest to students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences. CCC offers an Introduction to Anthropology course as part of its Academic Transfer program.
Our Art program offers a broad curriculum that provides the first two years of study for Art majors who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities, as well s serving the general education and personal interest needs of students in other area. Check out our Art program page.

Business administration classes are offered at our Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses and online. The Grand Island and Hastings campuses have a program offered entirely at night.

Chemistry courses are provided as part of the Academic Transfer program for students who plan to transfer to four-year college or universities to complete bachelor's degrees in related area or pre-professional programs such as pre-medicine or pre-pharmacy. The Construction Technology program at Central Community College-Hastings provides a great opportunity to prepare for a career in the construction industry. Students learn a full-range of construction skills from framing to cabinet construction and get plenty of practice applying those skills by working on a house built each year on the Hastings Campus. Dental Hygiene is one of the nation’s fastest growing occupations, according to the U. S. Department of Labor, which projects a 33 percent increase in employment over a 10-year period ending in 2022 We offer Nebraska's only two-year Dental Hygiene program.
The Diesel Technology program on our Hastings Campus features a new, modern- well--equipped diesel education facility. Industry leaders like NMC and Titan Machinery recognize the quality of our program with student sponsorships that provide tuition, fees, books and tools as well as internships. Drafting and Design Technology

Early Childhood Education
Start a career in two years or less or transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a teaching degree. Learn more and view the program video at the Early Childhood Education program page.
Economists study the production, distribution, and consumption of wealth and related problems. They generally work in business and industry, in education, or for government agencies. Some economists are self-employed or work for private research organizations.
Economics courses are offered at Central Community College for students planning to major in this field or related areas as well as meeting general education requirements for students planning to complete bachelor's degrees in other fields.
Complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree through our Academic Transfer program. Complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree in engineering and then transfer to a four-year college or university to complete your bachelors degree. We have specific agreements with the University of Nebraska Lincoln College of Engineering that provide a smooth transition from our program into five engineering disciplines. Environmental Health & Safety
Environmental health and safety employment opportunities exist within manufacturing, medical facilities, educational institutions, and government. Graduates from this program take entry level positions as technicians that may lead to positions as environmental health & safety directors, occupational health specialist, industrial hygiene consultants, environmental engineering technicians or government regulatory agents.

Health Information Management Services
You can be a part of a health care team without having direct patient contact. Health information technicians are skilled in analyzing patient records, reporting patient data for reimbursement, and creating disease registries for researchers.

Landscape Design and Construction
Under Agricultural Sciences, our Landscape Design and Construction specialization gives our graduates fundamental skills such as plant identification, placement and cost as well as important safety skills like proper handling of chemicals. This specialization also covers design techniques and artistic values to complete an aesthetically pleasing, sustainable project.
Library and Information Services
Complete requirements for certification as a Nebraska public librarian or complete two years of study before transferring to the University of Nebraska at Omaha to complete bachelor’s degrees in related areas.
Our logistics certificate
prepares students for employment in the fields of transportation or materials
management. Students will gain basic skills in logistics, supply chain
management, and purchasing logistics. Courses in this area can be used as
electives as part of an associate of applied science degree in business
administration or accounting.

The Visual Communications program is offered at Central Community College-Columbus. It prepares students careers in traditional and digital design and provides two years of study for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete bachelor’s degrees in the field. Students develop a strong background in traditional art methods as well as digital design concepts.
