Spring 2007 News

Service Projects all year

All year Alpha Tau Tau will be accepting old ink cartridges and used college level textbooks. If you have some please drop them by, so we can recycle them!

Alpha Tau Tau is planning their activities and projects for the year, and more information about our plans will come at a later date.

2007 Phi Theta Kappa International Convention in Tennessee

Alpha Tau Tau plans to send five members and two advisors to the International Convention in Nashville Tennessee in April 10-15, 2007. This convention costs about $4,000. Currently we are in the planning stages and more information will be given at a later date.

The Alpha Tau Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is selling See’s Awesome Candy Bars to raise money for our officers and members to attend the International Convention in Tennessee in April 10-15, 2007. We chose to sell See’s because of the fine quality of their product. See’s Awesome candy bars can be purchased from any Alpha Tau Tau officer or member. Sale starts January 29, 2007 and ends March 22, 2007

Thank You for your support!!!

We joined FOCUS, Student Activities Club, and Campus Crusades 4 Christ in the Campus Activities Awareness Day event. Alpha Tau Tau encouraged new members to join our chapter. We had three students ask about how to become a member and we requited one new member, Gloria Johnson. Welcome new members!

January 8 & 9, 2007

The Alpha Tau Tau helped new students find their classrooms and answered questions on the first two days of college. We helped about ten new students to find their classrooms and gave out about ten dozen cookies during the spring semester.  A big THANKS to the members who helped to make this event a success: Anna Heminger, Jayme Krejdl, Brandon Mizner, Heather Kometscher, Jenny Clark.

If you want to join and get involved, please attend one of our meetings. They are held every other Thursday in Room 396. The next meeting will be Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Room 396. Refer to the tentative calendar of events for meeting times and dates. There are many different ways you can get involved and if you have new ideas, we would love to here from you!
